A New Dream Home Tour
Vinh and Erin Tran recently built their “dream home.” Their home builder contracted Flor Haus to install the flooring.
Let’s take a tour to see the variety of durable, beautiful floors in their new home.
Entrance
Step inside. Wow! This breathtaking foyer is a grand entrance. Wide, gray-brown wooden planks exude a Modern Coastal style for this first impression. The flooring shown here is a luxury vinyl plank–Armstrong Empower in Norden Oak.
Kitchen and Family Room
From there, we transition into the open-floor kitchen and family room. Luxury vinyl is always a great selection for kitchens and dining areas because of its resistance to moisture, stains, and scratches. Note how the gold and green accents pair with the color of the floor.
The flooring here is the same as the foyer, enhancing the continuity and spaciousness of the airy design. Flor Haus also installed this Asian Statuary Polished Marble backsplash, an exquisite touch that brings life to the kitchen.
Office
Located off the entrance is the office. The same flooring extends into this comfortable space that can be made private with beautiful sliding doors.
Loft
The open staircase leads up into the loft and upstairs hallway, which has the same luxury vinyl plank as downstairs. The loft leads to the outdoor patio and contains a wet bar, making it a great space for entertaining. Again, the waterproof and scratch-resistant luxury vinyl plank is the perfect choice for durability and sustainability.
Bedrooms
Vinh and Erin chose a neutral carpet for the bedrooms. Prior to the carpet installation, one of the Flor Haus installers noticed which carpet they had chosen and advised against it. This helpfulness impressed Vinh. Vinh says, “We had been thinking about going with a thinner carpet, and the floor just wouldn’t have been as protected.” The plush carpet is by Shaw, called Make It Mine in a sterling color. It offers a soft, amazing, and cozy feel.
Master Bathroom
When asked what Vinh liked most about Flor Haus’s work, he said, “It just looks really good. Our kitchen backsplash and the bathroom look phenomenal.”
Check out the distinctive master shower complete with an Arley Riviera sliced pebble floor. The tile of the shower walls is Chesapeake Impressions in Silver Matte. The unique pattern of the bathroom tile floor is Arley Gilbraltar in Alameda Gris. All of the elements and attention to detail combine to make this a truly stunning master bathroom.
Balcony
One of the most unique features of this home is the spacious, second-story balcony connected to the master bedroom and the loft area. A ten-person hot tub and an outdoor seating area with a fire pit will make this spot an entertaining hub. For the balcony, Flor Haus directed them to a special outdoor flooring material called Rubber Greatmats.
Vinh Tran and his family are elated with the floors in their new home. In fact, they were so pleased with Flor Haus’s work that they hired them to come back again for a flooring project in the basement. Vinh says, “I would love to say that if there’s a problem, they would fix it, but we really haven’t had any problems yet. They are super helpful with customer service. I absolutely recommend them.”
